Boat, Dare to Dream A178962 and welded to its baseStaying true to her use of metaphor and symbolism, the artist uses the boat to represent our life journey. Hand built from slabs of stoneware clay, this wall sculpture of a winged boat gliding over surging waves and puffy clouds has the weathered look of a found object. The carved waves are first painted with slips and the surface dimension is achieved by applying a semi matte glaze and then wiping the highlights. Each piece is unique and will vary.
