The basis of this wine are almost 60 year old vines from the Krettnacher Euchariusberg vineyard. These old, low yielding vines produced small, highly aromatic grapes that were hand picked in early October, directly pressed, and then aged in traditional Fuder barrels (1,000l oak barrels).
