Immich-Batterieberg, Riesling Batterieberg, 2023 Levet and Gerard 2021 Cote Roties it’s also a bartender favoriteIn the 1840s, Carl August Immich looked at a wall of rock too steep to plant and decided to blast it apart with explosives, and the vineyard that resulted still carries the name Batterieberg. This is the estate's namesake single cru dry Riesling, grown on gray slate and quartzite on some of the Mosel's most vertiginous terraces. The vines are around 80 years old and ungrafted, and Gernot Kollmann farms them organically, ferments with wild yeast, and
