Small bunches and a robust tannic structure from older vines give the wine density, which takes time to soften. The clone produces red wines with a dark berry fruit spectrum and overtones of spice and liquorice, and we believe it originated in South Africa. In 2018, we reduced the wine's barrel ageing time from three to two years in order to foster a more
