Benjamin Leroux Auxey-Duresses 2023 dwsaugust The terroirs offer a baseHalf of this was made in foudre, the other half in barrels of different sizes. The fruit is from Les Hauts, mostly, along with its neighbour La Macabre. There is nothing from Les Boutonniers this year. There is a savoury, mineral side to the nose. On the palate there is fresh citrus character, like oranges and limes, and a long, bright finish. This is a relatively easy drinker, not huge in the mouth, with some gentle apple and pear fruit.
