Reading in the Conrail Era Volume 1: 1976-1982 Equipment Item #7766Bob Davis Volume 1 begins with a sampling of the final year of the Reading as an independent company and continues with a look at the first seven years of the railroad as an important component of the new Conrail system. We see the multi color motive power of early Conrail gradually transforming into CR dress blue with more variety provided by the diesels of the Delaware & Hudson, whose trackage rights over the Reading continued into the Conrail era.
