Giuseppe Mascarello Barolo Perno Vigna Santo Stefano 2021 CS20230929 early for Alsace and rareA single vineyard Barolo from Monforte d'Albafarmed without chemicals or pesticides by the Mascarello family. Santo Stefano di Perno was replanted in the late 1970s and 1980s after years of non production. The Mascarello holding is approximately two thirds of a hectare. Where Monprivato is elegant and haunting, Santo Stefano is earthier and more rustic, with the weight and structure typical of Monforte. Same traditional winemaking: extended
