Midway up this pier stood the Pier Pub, initially leased to Fran Marincola as a basic bar catering to locals and fishermen. Recognizing the shift towards DJ driven nightlife, Marincola undertook a significant renovation. Reopening in late spring of 1982, the Pier Pub was transformed with multiple smaller bars, a DJ booth, and
